"Love all, Spend less, Give more"

It is the time of year again. December has come and with all the joys of Christmas. But what is the real meaning of Christmas? Is it the gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, the cards in the mail, ham dinner with family and friends, stocking in the living room and shouting of " Merry Christmas" to those who pass us in the streets? Is this really Christmas?

For many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don't have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family and friends. Many are saddened at Christmas when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home for various reasons. Yet, Christmas can be a reason of great joy. It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. God sent His son, Jesus into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary day. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child.

Why did He come? Why did God send His son to this cruel and hard world? He sent Jesus to us so that one day, He would grow up to become a very important part of history. His story is one of truth, love and hope. It brought salvation to all of us. Without Jesus, we would all die in our sins. Jesus was born so one day the price could be paid for things we have done that are wrong. The bible says that all have sinned. We are all born with a sin nature. We do things that do not please God. Through the sins of Adam and Eve, we have all inherited that sin nature. We need to have that removed. The only way is through Jesus. Jesus came so he could die on the cross for all of our sins. If we believe that Jesus died for our sins, we can ask him to come into our hearts and forgive us. Then, we are clean and made whole. We can know that heaven is a place where we can go to when this life is over.

We can truly be happy at Christmas. No matter what may be happening, we can know that we are His children. We then become sons and daughters of God. Heaven will be can home one day. Look at Christmas in a new way this year. This is the year to invite Jesus into your heart. You will then have a  "Merry Christmas". The joy and peace you will receive will last all year as you look to God for all your needs to be met.

Jesus is the Reason For the Season! Rejoice.

Never above you, Never below you, Always beside you

Imagine the world where people are equal. Social, academic, and political classes are vanished, people with the same mental capabilities sharing land and resources equally.

Social life is a reflection of an individual's relation with the people, economy and education. Just like in the world of matter and atoms, likely atoms bond together and form a stronger element. This stability eliminates the chances of bringing together unfavorable elements. A world where the poor can not challenge the rich even get along with him/her is undesired. Seeking the lifestyle where everybody is equal will fasten the progress toward better life, it will eliminate the special cases. Such cases are when a category of people are employed to satisfy the needs of others, when depression controls the lines of the employed sector due to the fact that they can never achieve what their employers did

In such in equal environment, people will not be treated based on their ethnicity, religion, or physical abilities. This will bring everybody to the same dinning table. An Indian engineer is as smart and handsome as Italian actor, a basketball player is as rich as blind piano player, and no religions issues can put people on different boats.

It is crucial to have professions and sciences in a living environment, but it is highly dangerous to have gaps between the professionals and amateurs, scientist and sophomores. We are seeking a better life in the sense where skills are appreciated regardless of it's power.

Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master

The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values.

Children are not things to be moulded but people to unfolded

Mahirap maging isang enhenyero, arkitekto, doktor, guro o maging isang boksingero.

Reflection: Change is the end result of all true learning

We learned again more in this quarter of tags and everything. We discuss and it's not easy as pie but we successfully do it. We discover so many things in this lesson.

Yes we encounter a lot of problems while doing it because it's our first time to do it and it's really hard but then we have teacher who is guiding us in doing it correctly. And we're all amazed when we see the results of what we made.

As far for now we're all doing well. I hope we still do it again and hope that I can share it also to others what I have learned.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights

The commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty will take place on 17 October 2018 at UN Headquarters in New York under the theme: “Coming together with those furthest behind to build an inclusive world of universal respect for human rights and dignity”.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is important to recall the fundamental connection between extreme poverty and human rights, and that people living in poverty are disproportionately affected by many human rights violations.
Joseph Wresinski was one of the first persons to highlight this direct link between human rights and extreme poverty. In February 1987, he appealed to the Human Rights Commission to examine the question of extreme poverty and human rights and eloquently captured the nexus between human rights and extreme poverty with his profound observation: “Wherever men and women are condemned to live in extreme poverty, human rights are violated. To come together to ensure that these rights be respected is our solemn duty.”

Government policies alone cannot create the social inclusion that is fundamental to reaching those left furthest behind and overcoming poverty in all its dimensions. The commemoration of October 17 each year, when people living in poverty take the floor and share their experiences, demonstrates how we can achieve greater social inclusion by enabling people from all walks of life to come together to respect the human rights and dignity of people living in poverty. It underscores the importance of reaching out to people living in poverty and building an alliance around their priorities with citizens from all backgrounds to end extreme poverty. It recognizes the important mutual roles and relationships we have with each other based on our common and equal dignity.

The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty can strongly complement such initiatives because it aims to ensure that the active participation of people living in extreme poverty is a driving force in all efforts made to overcome poverty, including in the design and implementation of programmes and policies which affect them. Only by creating and nurturing a genuine partnership with people living with poverty will it be possible to build an inclusive world where all people can enjoy their full human rights and lead lives with dignity.

Always question, Always wonder

For me, the theme means that we must discover our own inner potential so that we can contribute to technological advancements in our own little ways. Our passion for something can lead us to find ways to make our work more efficient. Contributing to more efficiency is a technology in itself because it helps us make our life easier.

If we discover our potentials as early as now, we will know more about ourselves such as our strengths and our weaknesses. If we know these, we can capitalize on our own strengths and improve our weaknesses so that we can contribute to our society. Who knows, we might be the next scientist, architect, engineer, doctor, teacher or officer out there. Regardless of what occupation we might have, if we accentuate and capitalize on our potentials, we can surely make a difference to make this world a better place - just like how technology does it.

Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenges

"National Teachers' Month" ngayong taong 2018.

Character, like a photograph, develops in darkness

The Philippines is one of the top countries in the world at risk of climate-related disaster. For populations subsisting at poverty line in particular but also the nation as whole, daily lives and well being are routinely challenged. The Philippines government tales disaster risk seriously and has devoted significant resources to build disaster capacity and reduce population exposure and vulnerability, nationally and locally. This paper exposes the institutional mechanisms for disaster risk reduction management and research which have been conducted in the Philippines related to disaster preparedness, management and resilience.

The study draws on direct observation of and conversation with disaster management professionals, in addition to a review of what literature on resilience and disaster preparedness, in the Philippines. Numerous activities in community based resilience and DRR have been identified across the whole disaster continum, yet important gaps in research and practice remain.

The Philippines is a leading actor in disaster risk management. However, a full picture of who is doing what, how, when, and where on resilience and disaster preparedness does not waist.

Reflection: The world's changes when we change our perspective

Well I've learned and discussed so many in first quarter. Blogging. Before, I don't know what blogging is but when we tackled it I've learned so many things and discovered how it works and how to use it properly. But then it wasn't easy as I thought.

I encoutered problems in this blogging. At first I don't know where should I start. But then our teacher is teaching us step by step on how to create our blog. Again it was not easy but that doesn't mean your going to give up easily you should be patient. In our first post we're all amazed that each of our post is were going to write a nonsense comments.

And the following days went well. So now we still creating our blogs and commenting each others blog because its fun. And I will teach the teenagers like me because I want share what I've learned and it makes me happy teaching others. So that's all.

Full of surprises

http://www.localpulse.net/education/sona-2018-reaction-paper-18735/
Surprising in every sense of the word. It is one way of describing the Third State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Far from the gang-busting, cuss-word spitting fireball he has been seen and vilified for in the past, this year, Duterte seemed to be subdued in spots, generally sticking to the prepared speech with minimal digression unlike in the past when he lingered and diversified as he went along. It took him 49 minutes, interrupted by 36 applauses from the gathered congregation to finish his Third State of the Nation Address. That he mostly stuck to the prepared speech is one surprising thing in itself but the way that he delivered it in his Dueterte-esque brand of monologue is another surprise. He didn’t mince words in his speech but he also didn’t curse in front of a live audience – quite a sight for a man known for his tirades and his unstoppable mouth. He didn’t crack blasé jokes, either so it is also a relief of sorts. He looked to be in the mood for business, subdued and serious but unlike the other times.Again, the reaction of the gathered crowd was approving but in the streets, where two diverging masses of groups were expressing their sentiments, two sets of differing reactions could be heard – in one, wild applause and cheering, in the other, veiled contempt and gnashing of teeth and muffled curses. Still par for the course, as the previous iterations of the SONA have seen.

Eat healthy to have the right and enough nutrition you can achieve

What are the requirements for adequate nutrition? Ask yourself if the nutrition you get is enough everyday. Proper nutrition is a very important element in our daily life because it will provide energy and energy to do our work such us going to school, making assignments, doing housework, getting to work and so many others. Where does it come from being enough and proper nutrition that our body needs?
Nutrition comes from every meal we eat. The essential source of vitamins and minerals we need daily is from vegetables and fruits. Not all vegetables and fruits are nutritious just like those non-organic planting. In many studies that have made the results the health of non-organic vegetables and fruits is far from health because they are so many elements that are not good in our bodies. Be smart and be careful about buying and choosing vegetarian meals. the best thing to do is cultivate your own fruits and vegetables. No matter where you live, you can plant a lot if there is a vacant lot that can be
made into a small garden. Some of the seeds that are easy to take care of are tomatoes, okra, legumes, leaves and so on. There are also many alternatives if there is no vacant lot as just planting plastic bottles and pots that can be placed in front of the window. Nowadays, it's harder to plant, you just have to do it. There are now plenty of supplements that help fill up the vitamins in our body needs. Experimental studies are good for health but it still does not match the natural way that comes from fruits, vegetables and our environment. Take a meal with wholesome food to drink eight glasses of water everyday and practice the exercise and adequate rest. Let's remember that we are slowly planting to have the right time and enough nutrition we can achieve

Letter to the President

Ilocos Sur National High School
Vigan City

The Honorable Rodrigo Duterte
President
Malacanang Palace

Dear Mr. President:

I am a student at Ilocos Sur National High School in Vigan City, and I am writing to encourage you to increase more your efforts as President to our national environment. As a teen I am very aware that my future is in danger of being one in which our planet continues to suffer from illegal drugs.

As President, you have the authority to work toward polices that can have negative effects. You can also have the ability to start a national trend toward environmental protection by encouraging Filipinos not to use illegal drugs that can affect our environment. At my school, our entire building of ISNHS students is raising awareness of illegal drugs issues by devoting an entire day to the cause. Even teachers in every department are alerting their lessons plans for the day to spend time discussing about how drugs are very dangerous. In our Barangay, we are doing what we can as well.

Thank you for the work you have already done to protect our environment from illegal drugs and please consider making our planet's health and even higher priority in your administration

Yours sincerely,

"Just living is not enough..one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower"

One of the most significant in the Philippine's history is Independence Day because it marks the nation's independence from the Spanish ruel june 12,1998. Filipinos celebrate it annually in June 12.
Many students are asking "Why should we celebrate Philippine Independence Day". You might be a student asking this maybe because its your school assignment meant to be answered. So why is it really important to celebrate the Independence Day.

Independence Day is a day when many people including government officials, employees, and students participate in nationwide parades. Many Filipinos spend the day in parks and malls. Many Filipinos communities in other countries also observe the nation's Independence Day. The first Philippine President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed June 12, 1898 as the Philippine Independence Day. Now why should we celebrate the Independence Day? Maybe because it commemorate the Filipinos declaration of their in here out to freedom and Independence freedom from Spanish Colonization or other foreign Colonization. And Emilio Aguinaldo believed that a declaration of Independence would inspire people to fight against the Spanish, and the same time lead other nations to recognize the Independence of the Philippines. And maybe because June 12 has been also observed as the "Flag day" in the Philippines since it was the first time the philippines flag was officially waved. And it brings honor and love for those who spent their lives seeking to end the abuses of Spain. And lastly it gave way to the Philippine for self government.
